Vancouver-based designer and artist Greg Papove has released his latest design, the Foundation laptop storage unit—a concrete laptop stand that serves as permanent housing for your laptop and mobile devices, designed specifically for Apple’s MacBook Pro. Papove’s unit plays on the juxtaposition of the portable nature of modern technology and the permanency of the stand’s concept, which is constructed entirely out of poured concrete. The raw design echoes 1960s brutalist architecture in its minimalist shape, heavy aesthetic and severe angles and includes several storage areas for other transient devices like cell phones, MP3 players and external hardrives.

This appeals to my geographic and anatomic sides at the same time. A very nice print to hang in the study. Be sure to also check out the brain cartography, Thinking Cap.
